Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, May 23, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms around Yelwa axis in the morning hours. Thundery activities are expected over Katsina and Gusau axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 42℃ and 23 – 28℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Most parts of the region are expected to be cloudy in the morning with high chances of localised thunderstorms over Yola, Makurdi, Lafia, Ibi and environs in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are also expected in the afternoon/evening around Jos, Abuja, Lafia, Lokoja and environs. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31– 35℃ and 22 – 25℃ respectively except Jos at 29/18oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with chances of light rain showers over Lagos and environs. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over Akure, Oshogbo, Enugu, Ijebu-Ode, Ado-Ekiti, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Owerri, Umuahia and Port Harcourt in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 34℃ and 19 – 24℃ respectively.
