Rainfall
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday 22, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition with intervals of sunshine is expected in the morning over this region. Localised thunderstorms are expected around southern Sokoto and Yelwa axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 – 39℃ and 24 – 26℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Most of the region will be cloudy in the morning with high chances of localised thunderstorms over the high grounds of the Mambila plateau, Kaduna, Minna and environs. Localised thunderstorms are also expected in the afternoon/evening around Bauchi, Jos, Abuja, and Lafia, parts of Yola, the Mambila plateau and environs. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 34℃ and 19 – 25℃ respectively except Jos at 27/16℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with chance of light rain showers over Lagos and environs. There are chances of Localised thunderstorms over Akure, Oshogbo, Ijebu-ode, Ado-Ekiti, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Owerri, Umuahia and Port Harcourt in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 33℃ and 20 – 24℃ respectively.
