Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Friday, May 19,2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to Partly cloudy conditions are expected over this region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Sokoto, Yelwa, Kebbi and their environs during the morning hours. Later in the day, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Dutse, Katsina, Kano, Zaria, Gusau, and their environs. Day and Night temperature value are expected to be in the range of 35 – 41℃and 22 – 28℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau and its environs during the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Minna, Kaduna, Jos, Bauchi, Gombe, Yola, Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau, Ibi, Makurdi, Lafia and Lokoja during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 35oC and 21 – 25℃respectively except Jos at 27/16℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is anticipated over the entire inland cities and the south east coast with chances of isolated rain showers over Ikeja, and Ijebu-Ode during the morning hours. Later in the afternoon/evening hours localised thunderstorms are anticipated over the entire coastal cities. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 34℃and 21 –24℃respectively.
