Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Tuesday, May 2, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy condition is expected to prevail over this region with chances of localised thunderstorms around Yelwa and Kebbi axis during the evening period. Day and Night temperature value are expected to be in the range of 38 – 44℃and 20 – 28℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition with chances of localised thunderstorms is anticipated over Ibi and Mambilla during the morning hours. There are also prospects of localised thunderstorms over the high ground areas such as Jos, Lokoja Abuja, Minna, Lafia, Bauchi and Southern Kaduna later in the day. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38℃and 22 – 25℃respectively except Jos with 31/18oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Lagos and Ijebu-Ode during the early hours of morning. Evening/night time localised thunderstorms are also likely over coastal cities such as Port Harcourt, Calabar and Yenagoa. Also to be affected are Akure, Ado Ekiti, Benin, Warri Oshogbo, Owerri, Enugu, Awka and Abakaliki. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 35℃and 20 – 25℃respectively.
