The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Sunday, April 30, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES:Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated to prevail over this region during the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are likely over parts of Kebbi, Yelwa, Gombe, Bauchi, Potiskum, Dutse, Zaria and their environs. Sunny conditions are expected over Maiduguri, Nguru, and Damaturu during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature value are expected to be in the range of 35 – 42℃and 22 – 29℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES:Cloudy conditions are expected over this region during the morning hours while there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Jos, Kaduna, Ilorin, Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau and its environ during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38oC and 21 – 25℃respectively except Jos at 32/18℃.

SOUTHERN STATES:Cloudy conditions are likely over the entire inland of the south during the morning hours. However, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Calabar, Eket and their environs during the morning hours. As we progress into the afternoon/evening period, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated over cities like Shaki, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Akure, Benin, Obudu, Ogoja, Ikom, Warri, Yenagoa, Port- Harcourt, Eket, Calabar and its environ. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 36℃and 21 – 25℃respectively.
