Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Friday, April 14, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES:Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region with chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Zaria, Gombe and Bauchi during morning hours. There are also prospects of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto and Yelwa axis later in the day. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 41℃and 23 – 29℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES:Localised thunderstorms are likely over Jos, Makurdi, Kaduna, and Bauchi axis during the morning hours while parts of Bida, Minna, Abuja, Lokoja, Ilorin should experience localised thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 38℃and 18 – 27℃respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES:Cloudy conditions are expected with prospects of thunderstorms over Lagos, Ijebu-ode axis in the morning hours, while the Inland cities are expected to experience localised thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening period. Localised thunderstorms are also probable over the coastal cities throughout the forecast period. Day and Night temperatures are expected to be within the range of 31 – 36℃and 22 – 25℃respectively.
