Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, April 12, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thundery activities over cities such as Maiduguri, Potiskum and Damaturu during the morning hours. Localised thundery activities are still expected over Maiduguri axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 40℃and 24 – 30℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Yola, Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau, Abuja, Lafia and Makurdi axis in the morning hours while chances of isolated thunderstorms are likely over Kaduna, Jos, Lokoja, Abuja, Lafia and Makurdi axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 40℃and 18 – 28℃respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu and Owerri during the morning hours. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over the entire region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 36℃and 21 – 26℃respectively.
