Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 41-year-old woman, Rachael Agboola, before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing a plasma television.
The police prosecutor, Mr AjayiSundaytold the court that Rachael committed the crime on December 26, 2016.
He said Rachael allegedly broke into the house of one Engineer Atoyebi Adeyinka and stole his plasma television.
He added that Rachael also stole from the complainant, four ATM cards and two wristwatches valued at N53,000.
He noted that the offence committed by Rachael is contrary to and punishable under section 390(9), 411 and section 516 of Criminal Code Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
The accused person, however, pleaded not guilty of the allegations levelled against her. Her counsel, Mr. Abdulateef Ibrahim also prayed for the bail of the accused person in the most lenient terms.
In his ruling, Magistrate Olusola Aluko granted the accused person bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case tillApril 18, 2017.
