Hazy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Monday, March 20, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions in horizontal visibility of 1-3km are expected over this region in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 41℃and 18 – 26℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning hour with chances of localised thunderstorm over Makurdi, Lafia, Lokoja, Ilorin, Mambila Plateau and southern part of Abuja in the afternoon/evening hour. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 40℃and 22 – 26℃respectively, except over Jos where 35℃ and 16℃ day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated during the morning hours with chances of localised thunderstorms over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode and Abeokuta in the morning hours. Later in the day, localised thunderstorms are expected to prevail over places like Calabar, Port Harcourt, Akwa, Umuahia, Warri, Akure, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Lagos and Yenagoa. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 34 – 40℃and 22 – 26o℃.
