Governor Okowa who spoke, amid tears, at a Service of Songs in honour of his late Elder Fatimiro at Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North East local Government Area, recalled the relationship with his late brother which he described as very warm and cordial, despite the fact that they were step-brothers.
He said Elder Fatimiro would be missed for his humanitarian gesture, especially in affecting the lives of the underprivileged and vulnerable in the society.
In a short sermon, Pastor Emmanuel Adesuyan of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, said Christians should be conscious of where they would spend eternity while on earth. admonishing that everyone would be remembered for the way they lived on earth, all they did while on earth.
The service of Songs was attended by the State Deputy Governor, Barr Kingsley Otuaro, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, former Governor of the state, top government functionaries and political leaders in the state.
