Sunny weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Thursday, March 16, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and dry conditions are expected over this region in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 39°C and 15 – 23°C respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: The northern part of this region is expected to experience sunny and dry condition while the rest such as, Ilorin, Abuja and Makurdi will be partly cloudy with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Lokoja during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 42°C and 23 – 28°C respectively, except over Jos where 34°C and 17°C day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over the southern region, with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Akure, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and Yenagoa during the afternoon/evening hours while the coastal cities should expect localised thunderstorms. The day and night temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 39°C and 23 – 25°C.
