Another Labour Party lawmaker defects to APC

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central in the National Assembly, has decamped from the Labour Party to All Progressive Congress (APC).

The Senator during the plenary session on Tuesday, attributed his defection to the leadership crises in the Labour Party, citing order 43 on the floor of the red chamber.

Omo-Agege’s defection brings the total number of APC senators to 66 while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has a total of 42 senators.
