All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Chief Joe Igbokwe, has come down heavily on the Presiding Priest of Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso, challenging him “to tell us how much he collected from Gov Obi for the purpose of campaigning in Adoration Ground.” He told the revered priest that “ACTIONS CARRY CONSEQUENCES!”
The last edition of the Adoration programme held over-night on Friday/Saturday ended in atragedy following a stampede. Though both Governor Peter Obi and the Catholic authorities in the state maintain that the governor attended the event on invitation for spiritual purposes, APC insists otherwise.
Writing on his Facebook wall about 1:30 p.m. yesterday, Igbokwe, the spokesman of APC in Lagos and leader of Anambrarians in APC Lagos, said:
“It is four days now since tragic incident that left nearly 30 people dead in Uke, and yet Rev Father Emmanuel Obimma of the Adoration Ministry has not deemed it fit to tell the world what went wrong. If Father Obimma had the courage to invite GOv Obi and APGA to bring politics to a Sacred ground where people take their problems to seek divine intervention he should have the courage to accept the consequences of their actions. ACTIONS CARRY CONSEQUENCES! If Father Ebube Muonso cannot muster the courage to speak the truth and nothing but the truth now, the irreducible minimum demand from him is to tell us how much he collected from Gov Obi for the purpose of campaigning in Adoration Ground. I hope Rev Fr Obimma knows that it is now. Bloood money.”
