A Plateau-based cleric who has repeatedly spoken out over killings in the state, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has travelled to Israel for what he described as his first international Christian advocacy tour.
Dachomo disclosed this in a Facebook post on Friday, saying he was in Israel to pray for Nigeria, its leaders and the country’s people.
“Today, I am in Israel praying for Nigeria, our leaders, and our people. I believe in miracles, and I believe God can change what looks impossible,” he wrote.
The cleric also said he was joining his faith with that of Nigerians and prayed for people seeking divine intervention in their lives.
He said, “Within the next four days, may God open doors, bring healing, provide help, restore hope, and answer your heart’s desires according to His perfect will.”
In a video posted alongside the message, Dachomo said he had also prayed for Israel, its people and its leadership.

He specifically mentioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his cabinet and the Israel Defence Forces, praying that God would give them “victory over their enemies.”
Dachomo also prayed for President Bola Tinubu, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and other African leaders.
“Praying for my government, Bola Tinubu. Praying for my governor, Mutfwang in Plateau State, and praying, let God give them victory, Taraba. African nations, South Africa, we are praying for Ghana and the rest of the countries that are in Africa,” he said.
The cleric said he was “standing in the gap” and prayed against what he described as Satan’s influence in leadership.
“Whatever Satan has planted in the leadership, be uprooted, according to Matthew 15, verse 13,” he said.
Dachomo has been prominent in raising concerns over attacks on communities in Plateau State and has previously called for greater international attention to killings in the state.
PUNCH had reported that he alleged that nine members of his extended family were killed during an attack on communities in Riyom Local Government Area in July 2026.
He had also alleged receiving threats to his life after speaking publicly about attacks in Plateau.
In his latest post, Dachomo did not give details of the duration of his Israel trip or identify the organisations involved in the advocacy tour. (PUNCH)
