An Upper Shari’a Court sitting in Kano, on Thursday ordered the remand of three men in a Correctional Centre for allegedly stabbing to death, Ibrahim Khalil-Danshagamu, a social media influencer.
The defendants, Aliyu Adamu, Salihu Haruna and Sani Muhammad, whose ages and addresses were not provided by the court are standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.
The prosecution counsel, Mr Nafiu Kabiru, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on Sept. 8, 2026 at Gaida Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano State.
He said on the same date at about 11:30 p.m. the defendants trespassed into the residence of Danshagamu, situated at Gaida Quarters Kano and allegedly attacked him with a sharp knife.
Kabiru said the victim was rushed to Murtala Mohammad Specialist Hospital Kano for medical attention, where he was confirmed dead by a doctor.
The defendants, however, denied committing the offence.
According to the prosecutor, the offence contravenes the provision of section 120 and 143 of the Kano State Sharia Law.
The Presiding Judge, Malam Ibrahim Sarki-Yola, ordered that the defendants be remanded in a correctional centre.
He adjourned the matter until Nov.17, for continuation of hearing. (NAN)
