The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a procedure to enable candidates who have lost access to the phone numbers or email addresses linked to their profiles to update their details.
The board announced the development in a video shared on its official X handle on Wednesday, outlining the steps candidates are required to follow to change their registered contact details.
The new arrangement is expected to assist candidates who no longer have access to their registered SIM cards or email accounts and have consequently been unable to receive examination-related notifications or access their JAMB profiles.
“Candidates who lost their SIM card can now swap it with a new one. And those who also lost access to their email addresses on the JAMB portal can now change to a new one,” JAMB said.
The board said the service is specifically for candidates with genuine cases of lost access to their registered GSM numbers or email addresses.
JAMB also stated that the service can only be used once, advising candidates to ensure that the new phone numbers or email addresses provided during the process are accurate. (The Nation)
