The names of the 37 suspected illegal miners who died while in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger State have been released.
Meanwhile, the NSCDC has arrested and paraded 24 personnel, including the Niger State Commandant, Commandant Subaru Siyaka Aniviye, over the deaths.
The personnel are expected to face investigation as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
