Nigeria are part of the teams battling for glory at the U-20 Women’s World Cup taking place in Poland, with the Falconets playing their first of three fixtures against Spain.
The Falconets are in Group F alongside Spain, China and New Caledonia. Nigeria have reached the final of the competition twice: 2010 and 2014, but coincidentally lost to Germany on both occasions.
They have also qualified for all editions of the championship since its inception in 2002.
To start their outing in the competition, the Falconets will play Spain, after which they will take on China and then face New Caledonia in their last match.
