Barr. Bashir Maidugu, Special Assistant to the President on Legal Matters in the Office of the Vice President, has celebrated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a “phenomenal leader” whose life has been marked by service, courage and compassion.

Maidugu, in a birthday tribute to the Vice President, described Shettima as his “dear friend, brother, leader and boss,” saying he had witnessed his leadership qualities and commitment to Nigeria over the years.

According to him, Shettima possesses the ability to combine intellectual depth with humility, strength with kindness and political astuteness with concern for ordinary Nigerians.

“His Excellency is a phenomenal leader whose life has been defined by courage, intellectual depth, compassion and an unwavering commitment to the service of humanity,” Maidugu said.

The presidential aide said his close relationship and years of working with Shettima had given him the opportunity to witness the Vice President’s ability to inspire confidence and remain resolute during difficult moments.

Maidugu also praised Shettima’s loyalty to friends, compassion for vulnerable people and commitment to the country, describing these qualities as distinguishing features of his personality and leadership.

“Having known and worked closely with him over the years, I have witnessed his extraordinary capacity to inspire confidence, remain resolute in difficult moments and bring hope to those around him,” he said.

He described Shettima’s journey to 60 as a story of service, sacrifice and uncommon leadership, adding that he remained “immensely proud and grateful” to call the Vice President his friend, brother, leader and boss.

Maidugu prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to preserve and strengthen Shettima while granting him more years in good health, wisdom and fulfilment.

He also prayed for divine guidance and support for the Vice President as he continues to serve Nigeria and humanity.

“Happy 60th birthday, Your Excellency. May the years ahead be even greater and more rewarding,” Maidugu said.
