Fr Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso

Popular Catholic priest, Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso has expressed gratitude to God for sustaining him in the journey of his priesthood.
Obimma who acknowledged God’s guidance during the celebration of his 15th anniversary held at the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke in Anambra State disclosed that thousands of people are currently benefiting from his scholarship scheme.
He described education as a powerful instrument for transforming lives and creating opportunities for people who might otherwise be unable to achieve their aspirations.
The priest announced that about ₦100 million had been earmarked for a medical outreach as part of efforts to extend his humanitarian work to people in need., sponsor patients receiving treatment in India
Fr. Ebube Muonso further revealed that he was personally sponsoring two patients undergoing medical treatment in India.
According to him, the initiative forms part of his broader commitment to assisting people facing serious health challenges.
While saying that he provides monthly financial support to elderly people in Nkwelle Ezunaka to help them meet some of their basic needs and live with greater dignity, he added, “I had initially planned a low-key approach to his 15th priestly anniversary.
“The volume of congratulatory messages, surprises and goodwill gestures from people, made it difficult to ignore the milestone.
“A woman prepared food for people in celebration of my anniversary. Such acts as evidence of the affection and appreciation people have for his ministry.”
Speaking at the celebration, Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Ikezue expressed joy over the anniversary and described Fr. Ebube Muonso as a mentor.
He prayed for God’s continued strength, grace and protection for the celebrant while commending his contributions to the Church and society.
The 15th anniversary celebration not only served as a commemoration of Fr. Ebube Muonso’s years in the priesthood but also as an opportunity to highlight his humanitarian initiatives in education, healthcare and support for the elderly.
As he continues on his priestly ministry, the cleric reaffirmed his commitment to touching lives and serving humanity, guided by his faith and what he described as the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
He however acknowledged the guidance and support of the Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, who he described as a father and shepherd who had consistently guided and corrected him whenever necessary.
He prayed for God to continue to strengthen him and grant him wisdom and grace in leading the faithful.
