The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday December 12, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Nguru, Katsina, Kano, Sokoto are expected to be under the influence of dust haze conditions with visibility range of 2-5km. Other parts of the region will experience dust haze conditions with visibility above 5km. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38°C and 13 – 22°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are likely in the some parts like Lafia and Makurdi in the morning. However, sunny and hazy condition is expected to dominate the entire area throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 37°C and 13 – 22°C respectively, except over Jos with 28/11°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning with sunny intervals is expected over the inland and the coastal cities while isolated thunderstorms are likely over Benin, Warri, Obudu, Calabar, Eket, Port-Harcourt, and Ijebu-Ode during the afternoon period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 35°C and 21 – 25°C respectively.
