Abia Angels Football Club of Aba has appointed its former Sporting Director, David Chibuzor, as the club’s new secretary.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the club’s management and made available to newsmen in Aba on Wednesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the appointment takes immediate effect and forms part of the club’s ongoing restructuring programme.
According to the statement, the move is aimed at repositioning the club for improved performance ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season.
The management expressed confidence that Chibuzor’s wealth of experience and deep understanding of the club would contribute significantly to achieving its objectives for the new season.
“We congratulate Chibuzor on his appointment and wish him success in his new role,” the statement said.
NAN reports that Chibuzor, an indigene of Isiala Ngwa in Abia, is a trained football administrator.
Before his appointment, he served as the club’s Sporting Director and had also served as Assistant Secretary of the NWFL Club Owners Association. (NAN)
