Irish boxer Lee Reeves is in a "critical but stable" condition in hospital after he was stretchered out of the ring in Dublin on Saturday.
Reeves was facing Gary Cully for the vacant BUI Celtic super-lightweight title but was knocked out in the 10th round at the 3Arena.
The 31-year-old Limerick fighter was stretchered out of the ring after the fight and transferred to hospital.
In an update released on Sunday, a spokesperson from Queensberry Promotions said that Reeves is in a "critical but stable" condition.
"Lee Reeves is still in hospital, in a critical but stable condition," the spokesperson said.
"We will know more in the coming days, and our thoughts and prayers remain with Lee and his family."
Speaking after the fight, Cully said that his "prayers and thoughts" were with Reeves.
"Hopefully he's okay," said Cully.
"He came in there as a big underdog after fighting relatively at a lower level up until now, but he really showed that he can operate at a higher level. Huge credit to him."
In a social media post after the fight, Queensberry promoter Frank Warren said his "thoughts and prayers" were with Reeves and his family.
"Everyone at Queensberry is thinking of him and we're in constant contact with his team regarding his condition as we hope for positive news," he said.
The bout was taking place on the undercard of Pierce O'Leary against Mark Chamberlain, which the home fighter lost via knockout in the 10th round. (BBC)
