Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and Alhaji Sarafadeen Alabelewe
The Emir of Ilorin and Life Patron of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has urged the newly elected National Executive Council of the society to remain committed to the founding ideals and legacies of Sheikh Muhammad Kamaldeen Al-Adaby.
The Emir made the call while receiving the newly elected national executives of the society during a courtesy and familiarisation visit to his palace in Ilorin.
Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari encouraged the new leadership to remain steadfast in the propagation of Islam, the promotion of moral values, and selfless service to humanity, noting that these principles formed the foundation upon which the society was established.
He stressed the importance of unity, dedication, and exemplary leadership in advancing the objectives of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria and prayed to Allah to grant the executives wisdom, strength, and success in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The National President of the society, Alhaji Sarafadeen Alabelewe, thanked the Emir for his fatherly support, guidance, and prayers. He assured the royal father that the new leadership would remain committed to the vision of the founding fathers and work tirelessly to promote Islamic education, peace, and national development.
The visit formed part of the new National Executive Council’s engagements with key stakeholders following its election at the society’s 51st National Delegates Conference.
Among the dignitaries who accompanied the delegation were the National Missioner of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Abdulmumini Anafi Ayara; the Third National Vice President of the Society, Alhaji Abdulkadir Funsho Abdulkareem; the Registrar of Muhammad Kamaldeen University, Engr.
