MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL), has announced full restoration of power supply to the Gariki injection substation in Enugu state.
The company said the power supply was restored on Monday, July 20, 2026, at about 8:30 p.m., following the successful resolution of a major fault involving the indoor 11kV breaker at the station.
The fault, which occurred on Friday, July 17, 2026, affected electricity supply to customers served by the Army and Gariki 11kV feeders.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Head, Communications, Mr Emeka Ezeh, and made available to newsmen in Enugu.
“Consequently, normal electricity supply has now been restored to all affected areas. We sincerely appreciate our esteemed customers for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the outage.
“MEDL remains committed to delivering safe, reliable, and improved electricity services to its customers,” Ezeh said.
