IShowSpeed has become the first online streamer to perform at a FIFA World Cup final after delivering a live rendition of his hit song, “Champions,” during the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final.
The 21-year-old YouTube sensation entertained more than 82,000 fans at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, ahead of the championship match between Spain and Argentina, marking another milestone in his rapidly growing career.
His performance of “World Cup (Champions)”made history, with FIFA giving the internet personality a platform traditionally reserved for globally acclaimed music stars, underscoring the increasing influence of digital creators on the world’s biggest sporting stages.
Released on June 1, the song quickly became one of the tournament’s defining anthems, amassing more than 90 million views on YouTube within its first month and gaining widespread popularity among football fans worldwide.
According to IShowSpeed, FIFA approached him to secure the rights to use the track during the tournament after it emerged as an unofficial fan favourite.
