A community leader and one of the strong pillars of Olokor dynasty, Pa Augustine Okunoja Olokor, is dead.
A statement by the family said he died on Saturday October 29, 2016 at the age of 85 years after a brief illness.
Burial commences on Thursday December 15, 2016 with a thanksgiving mass and on Friday December 16 2016, body leaves Central Hospital, Agbor in Ika South LGA of Delta State for a brief lying-in-state at his residence: No. 59, Udomi Road, Ogbe-Idibon Quarters, in Abavo Central.
Thereafter, his body leaves for Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Abavo Central for a Requiem mass, while interment follows immediately in his residence.
He is survived by a brother, two wives, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, son and daughters-in-law, nephews and nieces.
Among them are Sunny Parker Olokor (retired Police Officer); Prof. Patrick Ajaja, Faculty of Education, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka; Smart Ajaja, U.S. based civil rights activist; Emmanuel Olokor (retired Assistant Commissioner of Police); Mrs. Patricia Naiho, Delta State Ministry of Education, Agbor; Emeke Olokor, Akure-based business tycoon; Dr. Helen Akinagu Obiazi, Dept. of Microbiology, Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma; Thomas Chibueze Olokor, AAU Teaching Hospital, Irrua and Friday Olokor, Senior Journalist and Chief Correspondent of PUNCH Newspapers, Abuja.
