The Host Communities Producing Oil, Gas and Pipeline Impacted States Youth Council of Nigeria (HOSTCON Youth Council) has commended Grosvenor Global Services Limited (GGSL) for protecting Nigeria’s oil assets and supporting host communities.
The commendation followed the Council’s Annual Mid-Term Review Meeting in Abuja, where the National Executive Council and Board of Trustees assessed indigenous firms protecting critical oil and gas infrastructure.
National President of HOSTCON Youth Council, Snr. Comr. Emmanuel Fiawei Pathfinder, popularly known as Gen. Osama, said GGSL emerged as an exceptional performer.
He said the company distinguished itself through strategic asset protection, effective community engagement, job creation and impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives across the Niger Delta.
Pathfinder praised the leadership of GGSL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Asiwaju Engr. Prince Olusoji Olatunji, describing him as transparent, visionary and committed to host community development.
He announced that the Council unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Olatunji, citing his transformational leadership and dedication to sustainable development.
The Council described him as a patriotic corporate leader whose approach to oil asset protection and community relations should serve as a model for industry operators.
It urged oil and gas companies to strengthen partnerships with host communities, expand empowerment programmes and promote responsible corporate governance.
According to the Council, such measures would enhance peace, increase crude oil production and safeguard Nigeria’s strategic energy infrastructure.
The Council also highlighted GGSL’s expansion into a leading indigenous global services company under Olatunji’s leadership.
It noted that Olatunji also chairs Tratun Energy Limited and serves as Executive Director of Regions Oil and Gas.
The Council said his company’s pipeline security interventions have contributed to reducing crude oil theft and protecting critical energy infrastructure in the Niger Delta.
It further cited his educational support through the distribution of notebooks, textbooks and other learning materials to students in host communities.
The Council also acknowledged his youth empowerment initiatives, sports sponsorships and regular distribution of relief materials to vulnerable families.
It noted that Urhobo communities in Delta State have benefited from the establishment of GGSL and Tratun Energy headquarters in Otokutu, creating jobs and boosting commercial activities.
The Council further commended Olatunji’s PROOF health outreach programme, which it said has delivered medical services, drugs and healthcare supplies to more than 50 communities across the Niger Delta.
