Delta State Government Approves Welfare Package For candidates participating in the ongoing Nigerian Army 91 Regular Recruits
The Delta State Government has approved a comprehensive welfare package for candidates participating in the ongoing Nigerian Army 91st Regular Recruits Intake Screening Exercise in Asaba as the recruitment process enters its 10th day.
According to a statement made available to Defence Correspondents in Abuja by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations Directorate of Recruitment, Nigerian Army Captain Abubakar Umar Hammanga, the Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, disclosed that the initiative was approved by the state governor, Sheriff Oborevwoi
It explained that the governor’s initiative was to ease the financial burden on shortlisted candidates and enhance their welfare throughout the screening exercise.
The statement further added that the state government had provided daily welfare support and accommodation materials, including foams and bedding, as well as transportation services to facilitate the participation of candidates during the exercise, which is scheduled to conclude on June 23.
The statement urged all shortlisted candidates who are yet to report at the screening centre to do so before the deadline, stressing that failure to participate within the stipulated period could jeopardize their chances in the recruitment process
The statement further added that both the Commander of 63 Brigade, Brigadier General F. Shonibare, and the Director of Recruitment, Brigadier General I. Sule, have visited the screening centre and encouraged candidates to remain disciplined and focused throughout the process.
According to their separate remarks, the senior officers assured the candidates of a transparent and merit-based recruitment process and encouraged them to give their best at every stage of the exercise. (Tribune News)
