Dr Dauda Lawal, Governor of Zamfara State
The Zamfara State Government has approved the immediate suspension of Dr. Sirajo Abdullahi Shinkafi as Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara.
A statement Signed by Mal Abubakar M. Nakwada, the secretary to the state government, said the suspension was due to gross administrative misconduct and insubordination.
“The State Government has approved the immediate suspension of Rector Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Dr. Sirajo Abdullahi Shinkafi.” Nakwada said.
He further said the state government assured to employ measures for the smooth running of the academic session and other administrative procedures effectively.
“The Government assures the Polytechnic community and the general public that measures have been put in place to ensure the uninterrupted administration of the institution,” the statement added.
Efforts to hear from the suspended Rector were unsuccessful as he he could not be reached as of the time of filing this report. (Daily Trust)
