England have recovered the majority of the training equipment stolen before their arrival in Kansas City, with police making two arrests in connection with the incident.
The items were taken after vehicles transporting equipment from the team’s pre-World Cup base in Florida to their training camp at Swope Soccer Village in Missouri were broken into. Sources confirmed that most of the stolen equipment has since been recovered.
Footwear was among the items taken, although no elite match boots or game-critical equipment were stolen. Official tournament balls and other training gear were also reported missing during the theft.
Police officers remained in contact with the Football Association as investigations continued, while a spokesperson for Kansas City Police confirmed officers were investigating the theft after equipment was found missing from a team vehicle.
The incident occurred as Thomas Tuchel’s side began preparations for their World Cup opener against Croatia on Wednesday, with England scheduled to hold their first full training session on Sunday. (AriseNews TV)
