Passengers scheduled to travel from Lagos to Abuja and then Yola aboard NG Eagle experienced disruption on Wednesday afternoon after the airline cancelled its Lagos–Abuja–Yola 15:00hrs flight.
Checks showed that before the cancellation, passengers had already collected their boarding passes and were prepared to board, with the expectation of landing in Yola at 18:00.
They were, however, addressed by the airline, which made efforts to pacify the affected passengers.
It remains uncertain what may have caused the cancellation, although inside sources suggested that weather conditions around the Lagos airport environment were fine at the time.
To cushion the impact on travellers, the source also hinted that NG Eagle offered affected passengers necessary assistance, while the flight was rescheduled for 07:00hrs on Thursday, 11 June 2026.
Some passengers who spoke to Tribune Online, however, expressed frustration over the disruption, particularly those with urgent business engagements in both Abuja and Yola.
Aviation analysts note that while flight cancellations remain inconvenient for passengers, safety considerations and operational risk management remain paramount in airline decision-making. (Nigerian Tribune)
