Late diehard Arsenal fan, Mazi Chibuzor Nzediegwu
A diehard Nigerian fan of English Premier League Champions Arsenal has reportedly died while watching the club’s most recent match.
The man Identified as Mazi Chibuzor Nzediegwu was said to have died yesterday evening, Saturday, May 30, 2026, while watching the European Champions League final between his darling club and eventual winners, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
According to a social media post by E-Parrot De MC Umelechi, late Mazi Chibuzor Nzediegwu was a native of Umudieleke Umuoru village in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
“The man popularly known as NZE who deals on Live Goat (Ewu Hausa) at Orie Uga, collapsed at one popular joint in Uga during the 2nd half of the finals, there he was rushed to nearby hospitals, all efforts to restore and save his life was abortive.
“He was confirmed dead by the hospital, suspected BP or heart failure caused his d£ath.
“May his soul rest in peace Amen,” De MC Umelechi wrote.
News Express reports that Arsenal, who were the underdogs, took the lead in the sixth minute of the match but the defending champions equalized in the second half, specifically through a penalty kick in the 68th minute.
The match ended a goal apiece and had to be decided via penalty shootout, during which the Gunners lost two of their kicks to leave final scores at 4-3 in favour of the French giants.
