Gospel singer Kehinde Adegbodu has opened up about the death of his twin brother, fellow gospel artist Taiwo Adegbodu.
Taiwo died in March, with reports at the time stating that he passed away during the night.
Speaking in an interview with Biola Bayo, Kehinde said he still does not believe his brother is gone.
He explained that he sees Taiwo beside him daily and often visits the graveside with his band members to speak to him before events.
Kehinde noted that he and Taiwo shared major life milestones. Both got married on the same day and had all their children in the same month.
He said Taiwo was active on the day he died, which makes the loss harder to accept.
He expressed shock that none of their spiritual fathers predicted Taiwo’s death, adding that he has not recovered from the incident.
Kehinde also revealed that he received a death prophecy after his brother’s passing.
He said an unknown caller warned him to pray against dying soon like his twin.
“To me personally, I don’t believe my Twin, Taiwo, is dead because I see him every day beside me. Each time we have an event, my bandmates and I go to his graveside to speak to him. Someone even called me and said they should pray for me so that I don’t kpai like my brother very soon.
“My brother and I got married the same day, and we had all our children the same month. I never thought of losing Taiwo at that tender age. Taiwo was so active the day he kpai; it still looks like a dream to me. None of our fathers in the Lord saw the death of Taiwo; this still baffles me to date. I haven’t recovered from the shock, but I am believing God for strength”, he said. (The Nation)
