The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced the complete fight card for the upcoming PFL Africa First Round event, set for Saturday, June 13, 2026, live from Lagos, Nigeria. The event will feature opening round matchups in the PFL.
In the announcement on Monday, May 18, 2026, the PFL said Africa Bantamweight and Lightweight tournaments, alongside showcase bouts will highlight some of the region’s top emerging stars.
According to the announcement, a Featherweight Showcase Main Event between Nigeria’s Wasi “The Nigerian Jaguar” Adeshina (10-3) and Spain’s Ignacio “Nacho” Campos (7-2) will headline the card.
Adeshina comes into the bout competing in front of a home crowd as one of Nigeria’s standout athletes, while Campos brings international experience from the global roster into the matchup. The bout serves as a major showcase opportunity as PFL Africa continues to spotlight local stars on home soil.
In the co-main event, Nigeria’s Patrick “Star Boi” Ocheme (8-1) faces Cameroon’s Octave “The Bantu Warrior” Ayinda (7-1) in a Lightweight Tournament First Round matchup.
Ocheme begins his campaign toward PFL Africa lightweight gold in front of Nigerian fans, while Ayinda enters as a dangerous opponent with an aggressive style and finishing ability. The matchup carries significant tournament implications as both fighters look to secure a place in the next round.
Also on the main card, undefeated Algerian bantamweight Karim “The Kryptonian” Henniene (6-0) takes on South Africa’s Thimna “Kingslayer” Mhlauli (5-0) in a high-stakes tournament matchup between two unbeaten prospects. Henniene returns after missing the 2025 tournament finals due to injury, while Mhlauli makes his PFL Africa debut looking to extend his undefeated record.
Nigeria’s Cornel “The Marine Boxer” Thompson (11-3) faces undefeated Congolese fighter Tsilomba “The Old Monkey” Mikixi (5-0) in a Lightweight Tournament First Round contest. Thompson looks to capitalize on the home crowd advantage after a breakout win in Cotonou, while Mikixi enters as a former EFC champion and one of the division’s rising names.
The card will also feature a middleweight showcase between Nigeria’s Yahaya “Smile Strong” Yahuza (8-0) and Cameroon’s Jordan Fongno (4-1), a matchup highly anticipated by regional fans following their previous rivalry outside the PFL Africa cage.
Meanwhile, undefeated Nigerian strawweight Juliet Ukah faces Brazil’s Elisandra Ferreira in a women’s showcase bout featuring two fighters carrying strong momentum into Lagos.
