World's most complete striker, Victor Osimhen
Galatasaray midfielder Mario Lemina has described teammate Victor Osimhen as the most complete striker he has ever seen, crowning the Nigerian forward the best striker in the world.
Lemina made the declaration during an appearance on The 360 Experience with Onan Khosi, with his comments later relayed by Galatasaray fan page Forza Cimbom.
“Victor Osimhen is the world’s best striker,” Lemina said. “He is the most complete striker I have seen in my life. I think he is the best I have seen in my life. He is a special one.”
The Gabonese international also shed light on his relationship with Osimhen inside the dressing room, describing the former Napoli man as a fierce competitor whose winning mentality benefits the entire squad.
“We love each other with Osimhen. We always want to win. When someone shouts, it is a positive thing for the team. I love that,” Lemina added. “Osimhen is a warrior. His best quality is his competitiveness. He always wants to win.”
In the 2025/26 Süper Lig season, Osimhen has registered 13 goals and five assists. Last season, he finished as the league’s top scorer and inspired Galatasaray to a domestic double, winning both the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup.
The 27-year-old completed his permanent move to Galatasaray in the summer of 2025 in a deal worth €75 million, making him the most expensive African footballer of all time. On the international stage, he has netted 29 goals in 44 appearances for Nigeria, placing him second on the Super Eagles’ all-time scoring chart.
His pedigree at club level is equally formidable. Osimhen remains the highest-scoring African player in Serie A history, having previously fired Napoli to their first league title in 33 years with a record 26 goals in the 2022/23 season. (The Nation)
