The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has fixed 28–30 April 2026 for the written examination for applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables (for both General Duty and Specialist roles).

According to a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday by the Commission’s spokesperson, Mr Torty Njoku Kalu, the exercise will take place at designated centres across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The statement noted that only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible. Qualified applicants are to log on to www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Friday 24 April 2026 to print their examination invitation card, which indicates the specific date, time, and venue of their test.

It further stated the required items for the examination day, including a pen, National Identification Number (NIN) slip from NIMC (with a clear photograph), and a printed examination invitation card. The prescribed dress code is white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.

The Commission reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free and warned that any form of job racketeering, scams, or financial inducement would be met with the full force of the law. (Nigerian Tribune)
