The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released call-up letters for prospective corps members under the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II, marking a key step in the mobilisation process.
Checks on Monday showed that call-up numbers and deployment details were uploaded on the NYSC portal in the early hours of the day, with many candidates confirming access to their details.
However, the process was not without challenges, as several prospective corps members reported difficulty logging into the portal due to heavy traffic.
“There is traffic,” one candidate said, describing delays while trying to check their deployment status.
The development comes shortly after the scheme released its timetable for the orientation exercise scheduled to begin nationwide.
According to the NYSC, registration at orientation camps will commence on April 22 and end on April 24, with the swearing-in ceremony fixed for April 24.
The three-week orientation programme is expected to run until May 12 across camps nationwide.
The scheme also advised prospective corps members to prioritise their safety while travelling, warning against night journeys and urging them to break trips once it is 6:00 pm.
With the release of the call-up letters, thousands of Nigerian graduates are now set to begin their mandatory national service. (The Sun)
