A 33-year-old woman, Justina Onokpasa, has been arrested for being in possession of hard drugs, including two large bags of weeds suspected to be Canadian Loud and 300 small cans of the same substance.

She was arrested when operatives of the Orerokpe Division raided a drug hideout in Ugholo community. During the operation, officers also recovered 30 bottles of CSC codeine, 10 sachets of tramadol, and two sachets of “Super Royal” (Redboy).

Other items recovered include 12 sachets of Swinol, 12 pieces of Molly, and 400 empty distribution cans, according to a statement by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, on Saturday.

In a related operation, operatives of the State Anti-Cult Unit (SACU) also raided suspected drug spots in Abraka, where three suspects were arrested.

A large quantity of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, alongside other illicit substances, was recovered during the raid.

The police said all suspects are currently in custody, while investigations are ongoing. (Saturday Tribune)
