Matthew Egwuenu, the late father of popular Arise News anchor and presenter Ojy Okpe.
The solemn event, held on Monday, April 6, 2026, in Victoria Island, Lagos, marked the beginning of funeral rites for the retired Commissioner of Police.
Chief Egwuenu, a native of Ukwuani Local Government Area in Delta State, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at the age of 80.
He is survived by one son, five daughters, grandchildren, and a large extended family.
