The Plateau Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has condemned the recent killings in the state.
Apostle Joseph Rim, the Chairman of PFN in the state condemned the killings in a statement on Friday in Jos.
“We strongly condemn these barbaric and senseless acts of violence that have led to the loss of lives.
“These repeated attacks are not only an assault and direct affront to the sanctity of human life and the peace and unity of our nation.
“PFN stands in solidarity with the bereaved families, the injured, and all those affected by these atrocities.
“We pray for divine comfort for those who mourn and healing for the wounded,”Rim said.
Rim, however, called on governments at all levels and the security agencies to be proactive towards ending the circle of violence in the state.
“We urge the government and the security agencies to take immediate and decisive action to halt these killings and restore peace in Plateau.
“We call on the government to bring the perpetrators to justice without delay and ensure that impunity does not continue to thrive.
“They should strengthen intelligence and security presence in vulnerable areas to prevent further attacks,” he urged.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that gunmen, on Sunday night attacked Angwan Rukuba community of Jos North Local Government Area of the state.
