The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play two high-profile international friendly matches against Poland and Portugal in June 2026, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed.
Fresh from their recent matches in Antalya, Turkey – where they defeated FIFA World Cup-bound Iran and drew with Jordan – the three-time African champions are set for a tough European test during the next FIFA international window.
According to NFF’s FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, the Super Eagles will face Poland on Tuesday, 3rd June 2026, at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw.
Four days later, on Tuesday, 10th June 2026, Nigeria will take on FIFA World Cup-bound Portugal in Portugal, with the venue expected to be announced in the coming days.
The match against Portugal (nicknamed Seleção das Quinas) will be the last game for the European side before they travel to North America for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The Super Eagles are expected to use these encounters to fine-tune their squad and build momentum ahead of future assignments.
The Cup holders, Super Eagles, are also scheduled to defend their crown at this year’s Unity Cup Tournament in London, taking place 26th – 30th May. (Vanguard)
