The Director of News, Television Continental (TVC), Mr Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, has urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to get rapid solutions to the security challenges facing Nigeria.
Kolade-Otitoju, made the call in Abuja on Monday at a book launch to mark his 60th birthday titled, “My life and Journalist Hangout”
At the launch of the book, authored by him, the multiple award-winning investigative journalist, expressed concerns that insecurity is demarketing the Tinubu’s administration.
” I want to see a Nigeria that is secured without the fear of bandits even if we must get help either from America or anywhere.
” I urge the government, which is well represented here, to get that help, so that our people can move around freely and go to their farms unhindered.
“The insecurity is demarketing the government of the day, ” Kolade-Otitoju reiterated.
According to him, whatever gains the Tinubu’s administration had achieved in the area of economy, without security, people would continue to lament.
“I hope that we can get a rapid solution to this problem. This is my message to the President.
“The vice president is here, he is listening to me. Let us do our best to solve this problem, so that we can all live in a safe and happy Nigeria once again, ” he said.
Kolade-Otitoju, however, expressed optimism that the Tinubu-led Federal Government would overcome the security challenges facing the country in no time.
“Whatever the government has achieved, even in the area of the economy, people will keep pointing at insecurity.
” I am, however, sure and confident that the President is up to the task.
“I am a believer in this government and I believe that the solutions will come sooner than later, ” he said. (NAN)
