One of the Northern prominent pressure groups, the Arewa Think Tank (ATT) and Senator representing Zamfara Western senatorial district, Abdul Aziz Yari, have maintained that the Northern Nigeria will massively vote for President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election in 2027.
Speaking separately during a special prayers organised in Kaduna to commemorate President Tinubu’s 74th birthday held at Arewa House on Sunday, the Convener of the Arewa group, Alhaji Muhammad Yakubu, noted:
“As we move toward 2027, the choice before us is simple and clear: Do we go forward with reform, discipline, and vision? Or do we go backward to uncertainty, inconsistency, and failed leadership?
“And we want to say very clearly that Northern Nigerian will vote massively for President Tinubu call on every Nigerian, especially our brothers and sisters across Northern Nigeria—to stand firm, stand united, and stand on the side of truth and progress.”
Speaking in the same vein, Senator Yari, represented by Senator Tijjani Kaura, noted that President Tinubu has been tested and trusted, saying, “I want to appeal to Nigerians to give him the second chance to enable him finish the job he started. We believe he has been on the saddle. He knows where the problems are and he can fix it.”
According to the former governor of Zamfara state, the North has no other candidate other than President Tinubu, we will vote for continuity. We will vote for progress and development.” (TRIBUNE)
