Abubakar, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Adamu, a former Adamawa State commissioner, resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday.
Adamu finalised his online registration with the ADC, a party in which his father hopes to run in the 2027 election, just a few hours after resigning.
In an X post on Thursday night, Adamu called on “all my supporters and well wishers to join me by registering with the ADC as we work together to advance the cause of good governance and national development”. (This Day)
