A group, Mobilization Ambassadors For Good Governance has lauded Engr. Eric Anyamene and gave him an award for his philanthropic deeds.
The group led by Hon. Gideon Chukwuebuka Nwobosi paid Engr. Anyamene a visit at his Obosi country home where the award of excellence was given to him.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Nwobosi went down memory lane, listing Anyamene’s leadership achievements and philanthropic interventions in the critical areas of education, healthcare delivery services, human development, infrastructural development, among others.
“Our group, Mobilization Ambassadors For Good Governance, identifies rich and selfless individuals, who empower people and give them awards.
“We are aware that before you entered the political arena, you had done philanthropic works like giving scholarships to brilliant students, offering free medical treatment to sick people, distributing food items to people, fixing soil erosion, buying UTME forms for students, among others,” Nwobosi said.
Nwobosi specially praised and thanked Anyamene for purchasing over 1,000 UTME forms for students in Idemili North and South LGAs, saying that a person’s acquisition of education would enable the person to realize his or her potentialities.
In his response, after receiving the award of excellence from the group, Engr. Eric Anyamene, who is a political aide to Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, said that the award of excellence, which he received from people, who belong to the same age demographics as he, would spur him to execute more philanthropic deeds for the people.
“I decided to receive this award because I did good works for my people, and because it is my fellow youths, who had acknowledged my efforts.
“I would keep this award, which is a keepsake, because it would spur me to strive to achieve more things.
“I am thanking you sincerely for deeming me worthy of this award,” Anyamene said.
Engr. Anyamene said that his decision to run for political office was borne out of his altruistic desire to change people’s perception of political leadership.
He said that he would use the instrument of power to transform the people’s lives when elected into political office.
“It took me a lot of time to decide to run for political power.
“I decided to run for political office because politicians do renege on the promises they’ve made to the people.
“Again, I saw a lot of gaps in our country’s political leadership.
“So I decided to run for political office in order to acquire political power, which will enable me to use the instruments of power to empower the people,” Anyamene said.
In his vote of thanks, a member of the Mobilization Ambassadors For Good Governance, Comrade Emma. Muoghalu, thanked Engr. Anyamene for extending his philanthropic gestures beyond Obosi, which is Anyamene’s home town.
