NIPSS DG, Professor Omotayo
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has renewed the appointment of the Director-General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Professor Ayo Omotayo, for another four years.
In a statement signed by the Institute’s Head, Public Affairs Department, Dr. Osime Samuel, the renewal was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, confirming the approval of a final four-year term for Professor Omotayo as Director-General of the Institute.
According to the statement, the renewal provides further opportunity for the Institute to deepen its role as Nigeria’s foremost policy think tank, advancing strategic research, policy dialogue, and high-level capacity development for senior public and private sector leaders.
It added that since the assumption of office in 2022, Professor Omotayo led several initiatives aimed at strengthening the Institute’s capacity for rigorous policy research and expanding its engagement with key stakeholders across government, academia, and the private sector.
“Under his leadership, NIPSS has continued to provide strategic insights to government through its programmes, including the Senior Executive Course and other capacity-building initiatives designed to support evidence-based policy formulation and strategic decision-making.”
The statement further depicted that the renewal of his appointment is expected to further consolidate ongoing efforts to reposition the Institute to respond effectively to emerging national and global policy challenges. (Nigerian Tribune)
