Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, has taken delivery of 500 buses from INNOSON and COSCHARIS for distribution to all the secondary schools in the state – both public and private.
“Even Seminaries are not left out, as eight of them in the state – three for Catholics and nine for Anglicans – will have theirs,” Obi’s spokesman, Mr. Valentine Obienyem, told News Express.
He said that “schools in Nanka, Oraifite, Alor, Enugu-Agidi, Isulo, everywhere will have one bus each,” adding: “This will make it the second time in the life of this government such is happening, though the first one did not go round since it was based on population. What it means is that populous schools will now have two.”
According to Obienyem, “This is the second time since Nigeria came into existence this is happening in Anambra, the first time being during the Jim Nwobodo Government.”
