Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Prof. Kabiru Dandago, a former Commissioner for Finance and renowned academic.

The governor described Dandago as a dedicated public servant and accomplished scholar who served with integrity and commitment.

This is contained in a statement by his Spokesperson Sanusi Dawakin Tofa in Kano on Wednesday.

Yusuf described the late Dandago as a dedicated public servant and an accomplished scholar whose contributions to education and governance left lasting footprints in Kano State.

He noted that Dandago served the state with integrity and commitment, and was widely respected for his professionalism, humility and passion for knowledge.

The Governor said Kano State has lost a valuable son whose experience and wisdom greatly enriched public service and the academic community.

Yusuf extended condolences to Dandago’s family, the academic community, and Kano people, praying for his soul to rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.( NAN)
