Atletico Madrid forward, Ademola Lookman, on Saturday, set a record following his side’s LaLiga 4-2 win against Espanyol.
Recall that a brace from Alexander Sørloth and a goal each from Giuliano Simeone and Lookman gave Diego Simeone’s side the victory against Espanyol at home.
According to OptaJose, Lookman has scored four goals in his first six appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid, equalling the best record in the club, taking into account data since 2013/14: Luis Suárez in 2020/21.
Lookman moved to Atletico Madrid from Serie A side Atalanta in the January transfer window.
The Nigerian international has been outstanding so far for the Spanish LaLiga giants.
Lookman will now hope to lead Atletico Madrid to victory when they host Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg playoffs on Tuesday.
Recall that Atletico Madrid played a 3-3 draw against Club Brugge in the first leg last week, as Lookman was on the scoresheet. (Daily Post)
